Cameo’s Steven Galanis and Devon Townsend Join the Endeavor Network
DETROIT, May 20, 2021 — Endeavor is excited to announce Steven Galanis, Co-Founder and CEO of Cameo, and Devon Townsend, the company’s Co-Founder and Head of Product, have been selected to join Endeavor’s portfolio of entrepreneurs. Galanis and Townsend were selected at Endeavor’s 15th virtual International Selection Panel (ISP). The ISP is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step interview and selection process to identify entrepreneurs who demonstrate the potential to leverage Endeavor’s resources to create large-scale wealth and jobs and are committed to reinvesting in their local entrepreneurship ecosystems.
Chicago-based Cameo connects fans directly with their favorite pop culture icons via personalized video messages, live calls, and direct messages. The company operates through a website and mobile app and currently works with over 40,000 members of the “talent” community, including athletes, actors, digital influencers, and others, to sell personalized content to fans. For fans, the app provides unprecedented direct access to top celebrities and influencers. Cameo has received numerous awards and recognition, including one of the 50 Genius Companies of 2018 by Time Magazine and Fast Company’s 50 Most Innovative Companies. Cameo recently announced that it has raised $100 million in Series C funding at a valuation of over $1 billion. Including this funding round, the company has raised over $165 million.
